Personal Sales Consultant - Dorking - Surrey

An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced sales staff to join a well established, global travel company.
Our clients are world leader in their field and have a rare opening for new members of staff to join in their success.
Your key objectives in this role will be to achieve agreed sales targets, convert enquiries and leads into firm sales, demonstrate the best product knowledge in the industry and deliver exceptional service to your travel agents and direct customers alike.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Answer telephone calls; handle all e-mails, faxes, written and personal enquiries from clients.
* Provide the best and most comprehensive service possible to all our clients and travel agents.
* Handle all sales enquiries including airline upgrades calls.
* Take responsibility for the clients' complete satisfaction with the client, ensuring expectations are exceeded, whilst retaining profit margins.
* Assist with each others clients on behalf of your team members.
* Assist with overflow calls when necessary from other sales teams.
* Reserve airline seats and arrange private car transfers for the clients when required.
* Assist the Sales Support and Operational teams when required.
* Sell additional product when required,
* Travel overseas representing the Sales department with team members or as a host for travel agents.
* Represent the client as required at consumer events e.g. the annual Road Show and other trade functions in the UK.
* Provide constructive feedback about the product range to Team leaders and the Product Department.
* Alert Team Leader immediately of any current or potential shortages in hotel or air space which may cause the team to lose sales. Assist the Product or Commercial teams to find extra space.
* Effectively communicate to the Team Leader any information regarding the clients pricing structure in comparison with their competitors.
* Ensure you keep fully up to date with all current marketing campaigns both direct and trade.
* To maintain and demonstrate your own level of expertise of the sales system and product knowledge.
* Keep up to date on the latest information about your product. - Research using the media, internet and internal product teams.
* Attend supplier training sessions and participate in the educational programme.
Our client would prefer someone with knowledge of the long haul travel market place, commercial understanding and strong, developed sales skills with a proven track record of achieving personal sales targets.
The chosen candidate will have a positive 'can do' attitude, be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, be adept at planning and organising own time and able to meet targets and deadlines, poses excellent written and verbal communication skills, poses the desire and initiative to achieve and surpass targets, have an approachable manner with both colleagues and clients, be resourceful and practical.
The role will require someone to work on a shift basis; this will be a 37 hour working week where you will occasionally be working Saturdays' 9-5 or Sundays 10-4 with a day off in the week. The Centre is open from 8am to 8pm so you will be working 7 hour shifts between these times.
